Bigfoot

The Birthday Boy happens to be a fan of Bigfoot, so much so that he's a member of the local research association seeking Sasquatch. Not many people know this. What better way to out your husband's quirky hobby than with a giant cake at his 40th birthday party?

The interior is a marbled chocolate and vanilla pound cake with chocolate buttercream filling. Toes are covered in marshmallow fondant (even the toenails) and the rest of chocolate buttercream fur.

This was also my first attempt at carving a cake, even though there wasn't all that much to carve. I made this on very short notice but I think it might just be one of my new favorites.
