This cake was so much fun to make! We are huge Mario Brother's fans around here. I wish I had more pictures of the details on the other sides. Had mystery boxes, beanstalks, and even a Chompy.
Cake is stacked six-inch rounds, covered in marshmallow fondant (MMF). The dome of the mushroom is actually styrofoam I covered with MMF. It's styrofoam because there were a dozen or so cake pops (not pictured, sorry) that were stuck in it. The cake pops featured the Mario and Luigi symbols. Details on the cake were made using more MMF and a little buttercream.
